After a long summer and fall of working as an event coordinator, I (Jenn Casler) took a few days off to collect my thoughts per doctors orders. I had started a new job months before that coordinating top musical acts, touring Broadway shows and symphonies. I was also 20 weeks pregnant with a 3 year old at home. It was during my few days off that my 3 year old said "Mommy, I am glad you moved back home." I will never forget that statement. My long hours was not only taking a toll on my health but my kid thought I no longer lived at home.

When I returned to work I asked to reduce my hours to a standard 40 hours a week. I received a very quick "no."

 

That was the day I turned in my resignation.
